THE IDOLMAKER TRILOGY

Ryker fingered the crucifix around his neck. He squinted at all the open doors, looking for the origin of the invisible, malevolent darkness still creeping through the house. “Are you religious, Jensen? I asked earlier but you didn’t answer.”

“I— No. I don’t think so. Why?”

“Because now would be a good time to pray.”

EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING THEY CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT. Jensen Everlee knows this. He knows it because his life seems to be missing something that everyone else has — no matter how hard he tries to keep up… and it isn’t just the asthma slowing him down. Playing the part of caretaker for his despondent mother, role model for his siblings, and de facto head of household is enough to turn the average high school slog into a daily nightmare.

The new kid at school is clearly missing something too. Though Jensen is willing to cautiously befriend him, Ryker’s odd behavior and tendency to avoid answering questions makes Jensen wonder if it’s simple neuroses or a sign of something darker and more dangerous than Jensen believes is possible. The closer Jensen gets to his strange new acquaintance, the more he must disbelieve his eyes… or believe Ryker.

Jensen and Ryker’s battle against evil incarnate will mean sacrificing everything they can’t live without. But if they survive, they might find what they’ve been missing all along.

“This is what I was born to do. I love it. I want to save lives and push the devil back. I want the world to have a clearer view of God the day I die than the day I was born and I want it to be because I spent my life clearing the fog out of the way. This is my cause. I want to fight for it and live for it and die for it.”

BE CAREFUL WISHING FOR WHAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS. YOU MAY END UP WITH MORE THAN YOU ASKED FOR.

Following his escape from the Idolmaker, Jensen Everlee thinks he’s done chasing demons. But just when it seems he and Ryker Bordeaux can return to being normal high school students, Ryker’s old ally brings a new shadow to town and it has its eye on more than just the one who brought it there.

Isolated from her family, Aviva Grimmway is resigned to a life under the weight of her curse. Under constant threat of her demon’s wrath, she keeps her relationships shallow and her mind distracted. Answering the call to team up with the one person who can bridge the gap to her past will mean facing the destruction left in her wake. Returning to her hometown could prove catastrophic if she can’t maintain the emotional distance that has kept her family safe so far.

To stop this beast from attacking everyone they love, Jensen, Ryker, and Aviva must dive into the dark secrets of the Last Family, Ryker’s wayward father, and their own worst desires.

“You’re the worst thing that could’ve happened to the Idolmaker.”

TO BE BORN AFRAID DOESN’T MEAN YOU CAN’T BE BORN AGAIN.

Following a tense summer of awaiting doomsday, the Blood War has begun. A trick from the Idolmaker disables prayer runes and leaves demon hunters scrambling to defend themselves and their homes. As the Idolmaker’s forces pick off chapters of the Last Family one by one, Jensen Everlee joins the search for understanding — and for a way to fight back.

Without a way to kill demons, the Last resorts to dangerous tactics in order to keep from being annihilated. It looks like demon hunting in its current form might come to an end, with the rest of the world along with it, but Jensen and his closest allies aren’t convinced that compromising on their values or going extinct are the only options.

To stop the Idolmaker from remaking the world in his image, there is no room for mistakes and no place to hide. Jensen knows there’s a way to win the battle, but there’s something on his shoulders determined to keep him too busy to figure it out.
